About Jennifer

  • For more than two decades, Jennifer Jackson Houlihan has been deeply connected to the people, businesses, and communities that shape Southwest Missouri. As the former owner and publisher of Springfield Business Journal, she spent years building relationships with local leaders, entrepreneurs, investors, and community organizations while gaining a front-row seat to the growth and evolution of the area.

Today, that knowledge gives her clients an advantage that goes far beyond market statistics. She understands the people, opportunities, and local dynamics that influence real estate decisions throughout Southwest Missouri and across the state.

  • Jennifer believes real estate is rarely just about property. Whether helping a family find the right home, guiding a business owner through a location decision, or assisting an investor with an acquisition, every transaction represents a larger goal.

Her background in business, marketing, and relationship-building allows her to approach real estate with a broader perspective, helping clients evaluate opportunities thoughtfully and make informed decisions with confidence.

Known for her responsiveness, market knowledge, and practical advice, Jennifer serves as a trusted advisor who remains actively involved from the first conversation through closing and beyond.

  • Years ago, someone described Jennifer as "scrappy." She decided she liked it and has worn it as a badge of honor ever since. She believes that meaningful results rarely happen by accident. They come from showing up, putting in the work, solving problems, and staying committed to the goal. That mindset shapes the way she serves her clients and approaches life outside of real estate.

When she's not working with buyers, sellers, investors, and business owners, you'll likely find her painting, tackling home improvement projects, cooking for family and friends, or supporting organizations that strengthen the Southwest Missouri community. Jennifer is actively involved with the Greater Springfield Board of Realtors, Springfield Finance and Development Corporation, Harmony House, and the American Heart Association.

She and her husband enjoy spending time with their blended family, which includes four grown daughters, two cats, and a dog.
